Look. I've had one "appointment" so far, and it wasn't really an appointment. It might as well have been a walk-in... and that's the only negative thing I can say about them. I've spoken to three diifferent people at different stages during the process: Two over the phone and one in person, and maybe I've just gotten really lucky, because they were all AWESOME and FUNNY. So, yes, for all the negative complaints about the loan rate, it's true... And stupid to complain about. OF COURSE THE RATES ARE HIGH! What did they expect? Those people are the exact types that you wanna avoid loaning to. They're immature or naive and got themselves into a financial mess to begin with. For me, it's been a blessing. I work two jobs and when I was in need, OneMain was there to approve me FAST and it's so convenient having the flexibily to pay however I can. From online or in person to changing the bill date to a more convenient day. My credit has been going up thanks to them, so I'd say even if you're not in debt, get a small loan from them if you're looking to build credit. They're gonna rate you at what's realistic for anyone with no credit or bad credit, but this is one of the few companies that can give you a break when you need one. P.S. They told me that if I wanna apply my extra payments to principal instead of monthly payment, I just have to ask. ALL companies do this. It doesn't make them evil.
